Tatooine Ghost was written by Troy Denning. It was published by Del Rey in December, 2003 in hardback. The novel's story takes place directly before the events of Heir to the Empire, and it was hailed as the first Expanded Universe novel to bridge the gap between the prequel trilogy and original trilogy characters.
