Old Sith Wars

From the Encyclopedia of Speculative Fiction - http://encyclopedia.wizards.pro

The Old Sith Wars was the name given the the series of conflicts that started with the Great Droid Revolution of 4,000 BBY and ended with the Destruction of Malachor V in 3,951 BBY. Included in this era were the Great Sith War (3,996 BBY), the Mandalorian Wars (3,963-3,960 BBY), the Jedi Civil War (3,959-3,956 BBY) and the Onderon Civil War (3,951 BBY). It also included the end of the Beast Wars of Onderon (c. 4,350-4,000 BBY).

The almost continuous forty-nine years of war nearly shattered the Old Republic and resulted in a near-total decimation of the Jedi Order. However, the Republic held in the end, and between the elimination (at least for the time being) of such threats as the Mandalorians, the Krath and the Sith and the hardened resolve the wars gave the Galactic citizenry, the Republic emerged stronger than it was before.
