The Knight Bus is a triple decker bus that appears to help a stranded witch or wizard.

It first is mentioned in Book 3 when Harry stumbles across it after blowing up his Aunt.
- Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go...
The bus is invisible to Muggles and drives at very fast speeds.
To hail the bus, a witch or wizard needs to wave their wand hand in the air, much like a muggle would wave for a taxi.
The Knight Bus is run by Stan Shunpike and driven by Ernie Prang.
The inside of the Knight Bus has beds, curtained windows, candles burning in brackets beide each bed and for 15 sickles you get a bottle of water and a toothbrush in any color.

Behind the Scenes
In the film version of Prisoner of Azkaban, they included a Jamaican head, but that was not mentioned in the book.
