Endar Spire

The Endar Spire was the name of a Republic capital vessel during the Jedi Civil War around 4,000 years before the Battle of Yavin.
Not as grand or as powerful pre-Malachor V Republic capital ships, vessels during the second half of the civil war appeared to be little more than modified transport vehicles, somewhat similar to the later Consular-class Space Cruiser and Corellian Corvette. Its only armament appears to have been a twin turbolaser mounted either side of the bridge. This was likely the result of a combination between the expended resources in the war against Revan, and the fact that Revan absconded with most, if not all, of the Republic's former capital ships, such as the Leviathan.
The Endar Spire was one of these later capital ships. It was assigned to carry Commander Carth Onasi and Jedi Bastila Shan, along with another important passenger, whose identity was a secret to all but certain selected Jedi. However, upon arrival at the Outer Rim world of Taris, it was ambushed by Sith forces, who boarded the vessel in an attempt to capture Bastila. The Sith soon overran the bridge, forcing Carth to the escape pod bay. Bastila used one of the escape pods to reach Taris, and Republic Ensign Trask Ulgo and the important passenger, mind-wiped Revan, were forced to fight their way through the Sith forces to the escape pods. As they did so, Trask sacrificed himself to hold off Darth Bandon, who had boarded the vessel. Shortly after Revan and Carth had escaped, the vessel was obliterated by the Sith.
