Devaron was the homeworld of the Devaronians. It was located in the Colonies.

Devaron was a planet of low mountains and deep valleys linked by thousands of rivers. It was near the Corellian Trade Spine. The planet had strict capital punishment and a matriarchial government.

Devaron was represented in the Galactic Senate by Elsah'sai'moro until she was assassinated by Aurra Sing. The planet remained loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars, despite the sponsoring of a secret Separatist base in the Blue Mountains by treacherous Senator Vien'sai'malloc, whom had hired Sing to assassinate Elsah. Aayla Secura exposed Vien, whom was executed, and defeated Sing in combat, taking her prisoner.

Around 5 BBY, it was the site of an uprising against the Galactic Empire, which was put down by the Imperial-aligned Devaronian Army, led by Kardue'sai'Malloc, whom was thus called the "Butcher of Montellian Serat". To escape persecution, the Butcher fled to Tatooine and changed his name to Labria.

After the Battle of Endor, Boba Fett captured Labria and took him to Devaron, where the Butcher was executed.

The planet was denied membership in the New Republic due to its violent capital punishment.
